EyeAmerica IPA Eye America IPA is a not-for-profit "Limited Liability Corporation (LLC)" approved by the State of North Carolina. It is also approved to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The IPA was established to provide independent ODs and MDs with access to third party payers, managed care marketing and contract management services.
The Managed Care Division is responsible for marketing third party vision, industrial safety and managed care programs. Eye America targets large employers and manufacturers through a variety of discounted vision and safety programs. Since 1996 the Managed Care has implemented more than 1200 contracts in NC and VA. Eye America provides service to 975,000 members. There are 350,000 additional members covered through HMO and PPO contracts. These plans generate an estimated $14.5 million annually in eye exams and prescription eyewear purchases.

The group is staffed with four regional sales managers. The sales managers are assigned to four sales territories and responsible for developing third party employer business and managed care contracts that will be serviced exclusively by DVC franchises and IPA panel providers if there are HMO and PPO contracting involved. The staff also provides our clients with vision screenings, benefit seminars, health fairs and eye care education programs, which are designed to maintain contact with the patients and sustain the utilization of DVC offices.
