Practice Acquisition
The management of EyeAmerica recognizes that apart from addressing access and profit issues posed by managed care and increased levels of competition, independent optometrists are looking for answers to long term practice value, liquidity and exit.
To that end EyeAmerica was instrumental in establishing EyeAmerica, PA, a North Carolina based professional association. Owned by both ODs and MDs, this PA is positioned to acquire practices from independents currently operating in North Carolina and Virginia. As such it fulfills the needs of most independents by providing them with a solid alternative source of practice liquidity (through a partial purchase) or exit through practice purchase at retirement.
Based on an industry database that has been developed over the past fifteen years, Eye America has designed several proprietary practice evaluation models that are tailored to meet each seller's unique objectives. As part of Eye America's service, our staff will recommend financial strategies to minimize the seller's taxes, provide flexible payment plans for the purchase and, in many cases, enable the ongoing employment for the doctor and staff.
While currently limited to NC and VA based practices, EA will be extending this service into each market in which in maintains franchise operations.
