On Sight Program Background: In 1997 Doctors Vision Center developed an eye care program specifically for nursing home residents. “On Sight” operates as a separate plan serviced primarily by franchise ODs. The On Sight program complies with Medicare and Medicaid coding and referral regulations. Today, the program provides exclusive eye care services to more than 160 nursing homes in NC and VA. Services: The On Sight program is marketed through Eye America's Managed Care department and targeted at homes that operate within State and federal guidelines. The program provides patient and medical record screenings, on site vision exams, prescribing and dispensing of prescription eyewear and clinical management of eye pathologies. All services are performed with the necessary Attending Physician authorizations.
